Let's dive into today's episode.

In this post we review Die Off a Natural Sign of Healing when embarking on a gut healing journey, whether for yourself or your child, it's important to be aware of something called die off. A few days into your gut rebalance, you may find yourself wondering if it's normal for symptoms to worsen before they get better. Die off, as the name suggests, refers the temporary flare of symptoms experienced when bad bacteria, yeast and parasites in the body begin to die. And while it may seem unsettling, die off is actually a positive indication that your gut rebalance is working. In this episode, we are going to validate your healing experience, dive deeper into die off and discuss its significance, common symptoms, and way you can support your body through this phase. Before we dive in, you should know that not everyone experiences die off and it is not a need to be concerned if you don't encounter die off. The absence of die off symptoms does not indicate that your rebalance is not working. Everyone's body responds differently and everyone's healing journey is very unique to them.

Die off symptoms can manifest in a range of ways, and being aware of these symptoms can help you navigate this phase with greater understanding and compassion for yourself and your child. Some of the most common symptoms of die off include headaches, fever, chills, muscle aches, exhaustion, diarrhea, nausea, rest, asleep, mood fluctuations and the most common of all is the worsening of existing symptoms related to gut imbalance. So if you have an eczema rash or a psoriasis rash, it will flare, acne, vaginal, itch, sour smelling, poop, undigested poop, restless, sleep and irritability. Whatever symptom is your most prominent symptom of gut imbalance is likely to flare during die off. And again, please remember, not everybody experienced die off, and I just listed many common symptoms of die off, but nobody really experiences all of these. Everybody's body is so different. And while it might seem very tempting to seek Over-the-counter medications to alleviate die off symptoms, it's important to remember why you are experiencing them in the first place. Consider alternative remedies that support your gut health. Medications like ibuprofen and Tylenol negatively impact your gut bacteria and potentially prolong the die off phase. So instead, here are some wonderful ways to help you manage this phase for you or your child's healing journey.

  1. Make sure you are drinking an abundant amount of water. This will help flush out the dying yeast, bacteria and parasites from your body, which helps quicken the detoxification process.
  2. Epson salt baths. This will help in drawing out toxins and alleviating muscle aches or skin irritations.
  3. Speaking of skin, the third tip here is oatmeal baths. Throw some organic rolled oats into an old sock, tie a knot and throw it into your bathtub. And you can squeeze like the oat milk onto you or your child's skin. And it is so soothing for any topical rash, diaper rash, eczema, psoriasis.
  4. Topical relief. It is important to make sure that you are only using topical products that are PH balanced and support your skin's. Microbiome chemical-based products. 2s Counter all of the hard work that you are doing internally to heal your body. The Balanced Bacteria Skincare Kit and Relieve Healing Gel found in my shop are really nurturing and healing if you need anything to support your skin through your healing journey.
  5. For internal support as an alternative to Ibuprofen Balanced CBD also found in my shop, is really positive in the die off phase and actually is really good for gut health and balance in general. It will help alleviate headaches, body aches, hormone imbalance, sleep and so much more.
  6. I would highly recommend you consider incorporating celery juice during your die off phase, if not throughout your entire rebalance. Celery juice is known for its natural detoxifying properties and AIDS in flushing out toxins, including the dying bacteria, yeast and parasites that contribute to your die off symptoms. By supporting your liver during your rebalance, celery juice helps in eliminating waste and promoting a healthier gut environment. Imbalances cause inflammation in the body and celery juice contains anti-inflammatory compounds that will help reduce inflammation and support your body's response to die off. Another last thing about celery juice is that it has an alkalizing effect on the body. When bad bacteria, yeast and parasites die off, they often release acidic. Byproducts causing an imbalance in PH levels. Consuming celery juice will help restore the alkalinity in your body, creating an environment that is less favorable to that bad bacteria, yeast and parasites, meaning celery juice will help enhance your healing journey.

Taking care of your overall well-being during the die off phase with these practices will help alleviate stress. And stress is directly connected to your gut bacteria. This will support your body in your healing process. 1s You are also going to want to engage in gentle exercise during the diaphragase. This is your time to honor your body gently. This means walking instead of running, restorative, yoga over high impact or cardio exercises. This will promote circulation, lymphatic flow, and detoxification that will aid in the elimination of toxins released during die off without adding extra stress to your body. It's like my midwife told me when I gave birth to my child the gentler you are on your body immediately after birth, the faster and stronger you will heal. If you are seeing die off symptoms in your child, you can support them by simply holding space for restless nights, big emotions and extreme energy swings. They may get extra clingy. If your child is breastfeeding, they may want to breastfeed even more frequently. They might experience diaper rash, and if they have eczema, it may worsen before it gets better. Just know that this phase will pass, and once it does, you will get to experience the exact opposite with your child. They will sleep deeper and have more steady moods and emotions than you can ever imagine. Once their gut is fully balanced, their skin will be so smooth and healthy, they will feel content and you will see a new sparkle in their eye. Before we wrap this episode up, I want to share some additional insights that will be really helpful for you to know. The duration of the die off phase really varies from person to person.
