What a Minor Gut Imbalance Looks Like.

Transcripts:

Hey mama. Welcome back to Follow Your Gut with me. Sarah Bennett, founder of ōNLē organics. As a mom of four., I've gone through the ups and downs of sleepless nights. Undiagnosed symptoms. Gotten the complete runaround from the medical system and I've found a different way, no more waiting out your child's symptoms, endlessly Googling in the middle of the night and feeling lost and alone in your family's wellness.

This podcast will empower you to take leadership of your family's wellness. So your family can experience that deep level of health and happiness. You so greatly deserve. I'm so happy. You're here. Let's dive into today's episode.

I talk a lot about significant gut imbalance on here and on Instagram, because mamas who have a child with a significant imbalance are in crisis mode, but there is a whole other level of imbalance that is even more common than a significant imbalance. So in today's episode, we are going to talk all about what I call.

A minor gut imbalance. First though, let's define a significant imbalance because this will help you determine what level of imbalance you or your child possibly has. You know, if your child has significant imbalance because their symptoms are rocking your world, they're possibly covered in a red itchy rash, and they scratch themselves until they bleed or their poop consists of mucus or blood or undigested food, or smells really, really sour.

Maybe they're waking up 12 or more times a night to breastfeed because they are so uncomfortable in their body. Maybe they're acting out in their behavior does not align with who, you know, they are on the. Whether their symptoms are physical or behavioral, you are deeply concerned and you are consumed by sleep deprivation and endlessly searching for answers.

My child, experiencing a significant imbalance is what opened up this whole gut health world for me. And while significant imbalance is really common and sadly often overlooked because culturally, we tend to treat symptoms instead of looking deeper for the root cause of symptoms. Like I said a minute ago, a minor gut imbalance is even more common.

So let's talk about what this means. What is a minor imbalance? This is where life feels fine. You're getting by. And even though your child has subtle symptoms that flare up every once in a while, they're fine. Maybe you have a minor imbalance. Do you wanna know something crazy? Most people have an imbalance of some severity without even knowing it inconsistent, poop, either diarrhea or constipation, headaches, migraines, PMs, restless sleep.

You're fine. And you're getting by, but it's hard to focus or find motivation. You find yourself scrolling Instagram, wishing your life was like someone else's because your life is fine, but it isn't great. This does not have to be your normal, your life can be great. And it starts by nurturing the very core of your body, your gut bacteria.

Minor imbalance can be caused by any number of things. Stress change, exposure to toxins or chemicals, medications, vaccines, processed foods, weakened immune system, like catching a cold or a virus exposure to mold teething pregnancy. You see really normal and unavoidable things, beautiful things in a lot of cases.

But what happens is when you experience these events, it's taxing on your body and your gut bacteria is incredibly fragile. It is really normal that when life gets a little hard, Or you're really busy or there is a change happening. Your diet shifts a little, maybe you consume more convenient foods and your sleep is more disruptive.

Your immune system hormones and your gut bacteria are all very intimately interconnected. And anytime one is compromised. So are the others. So maybe you're curious now, do you have a minor imbalance? I teach all about this in my course, happy and healthy from the inside out, there are three phases of gut health.

Two, we've just talked about significant imbalance, minor imbalance. The third is a balanced gut. You will move between these phases throughout your life. And this is normal, just like how your immune system fluctuates. So does your gut bacteria.  maybe you've even gone through my course. You learned how to rebalance your child's gut and all of their symptoms went away for the first time in their life.

Their skin was smooth and they started sleeping through the night. But over the last week, or maybe even the last month, you've noticed little spots up here on their skin. Their mood is a little chaotic and you aren't sure what's going on. This is simply their gut back to you. Fluctuating. This is normal and not a big deal.

When you are in tune with the gut, you'll be much more sensitive to when subtle symptoms come up and you'll be able to quickly rebalance their gut. You know how that goes. When you learn something new and your mind is suddenly tuned into it and you can't imagine ever going back, you wonder how you ever lived without this new awareness.

Your gut bacteria is like this. When you learn how to live in alignment with your gut, this is when you become the woman. Who wakes up excited for every day. You're able to pursue your dreams with clarity. You sleep deep at night and you show up every day is the mama you strive to be. Of course you're still human, but you feel extraordinary.

This is when your child thrives, they sleep well. They have healthy poops and steady moods. When you suspect a minor imbalance, this is a great time to commit, to balancing your gut, to eliminate foods that feed bad bacteria to double down on rebalancing supplements, like cleanse and nourish when you are on top of it.

Or your child's minor imbalance will pass within days. But if you ignore the subtle symptoms, they'll progress and eventually become not so subtle. This is a true gift from the body. Your body was designed to live in balance and to thrive our modern world and our exposure to chemicals and processed foods and the overuse of antibiotics in both humans and the animals.

that most humans consume makes it hard. But when you commit and you get in tune with your gut, it doesn't have to be hard. It's actually very simple. It isn't a matter of if you and your child will experience a gut imbalance. It's a matter of when and how severe. No matter where you are right now, I would love the opportunity to teach you exactly how to live a gut nurturing lifestyle, how to become so in tune with your gut, that when subtle symptoms come up, you are on it like that.

I will continue to show up here and to educate you on the significance of your gut bacteria.
