Hey mama. Welcome back to Follow Your Gut.,; With me. Sarah Bennett, founder of ōNLē ORGANICS organics as a mom of four. I've gone through the ups and downs of sleepless nights. Undiagnosed symptoms. Gotten the complete runaround from the medical system and I've found a different way, no more waiting out your child's symptoms, endlessly Googling in the middle of the night and feeling lost and alone in your family's wellness.

This podcast will empower you to take leadership of your family's wellness. So your family can experience that deep level of health and happiness. You so greatly deserve. I'm so happy. You're here. Let's dive into today's episode

gut health. Isn't just about the bacteria that lives within your gut. The goal of balancing the gut is far greater than simply having the right amount of good bacteria. It is about living your best life about feeling good inside your body, sleeping deeply and waking up feeling rested and excited for your day.

The. Living with clarity. It is about prioritizing what matters most in life, and ultimately being able to live your happiest and healthiest life. This episode is going to be a little bit different, a little more inspiration than education. I hope it sings so much life into your heart. It is a reminder or permission to live in alignment with your values and your truths to allow yourself as a mama and woman to show up fully yourself.

Yes, of course. I will attach this to your gut health throughout the episode, because that's just how my mind works, but I'm excited to share this one with you. So let's jump right. It is important to push yourself sometimes to go beyond your comfort zone, to realize what you are capable of. About a month ago, my husband and I packed up our four kids into our big adventure van, and we drove four hours from our home to Missoula, Montana to see the band camp in concert.

If you haven't listened to them, you've gotta give them a listen. It's Caamp. Our children's first real concert. We tend to be more Airbnb than hotel type of people. But for this occasion, I declared that I purposefully wanted a hotel. I didn't want to go play home life somewhere else. I wanted a true break room at all.

I didn't wanna make any beds. I didn't wanna wash any dishes. None of it. So on our, we outta town, we live right outside of Bozeman, Montana. We stopped at our favorite health food store. It's called the community food co-op and we got enough food for lunch that day, driving snacks, because for real  our babes eat all day long, do yours.

And we got dinner. The foods we choose to eat as a family are very intentional because our gut health is our top priority. So for me, An adventure looks like getting creative with what organic foods I can find and what I can make while we are on the move. This excites me. We all love doing this so much.

It is certainly part of our family culture, incorporating yummy and nurturing foods into our everyday, no matter what we are doing. So when we got to Missoula, we checked into the hotel and we did all the fun children, hotel shenanigans, you know, Unplugged the phone and made pretend phone calls turned off all the lights and closed the curtains, set an alarm, pretend to fall asleep and then startle awake.

The alarm. Do you do this?  they're like family traditions, you know, leaping back and forth from one bed to the other at about seven o'clock. We headed toward the concert. I'm fully setting the scene here because I want you to see and experience it all with me. It happened to be that my husband, Ty, who is a mortgage broker.

Was helping someone get a loan who worked at this venue, this person was so kind and generous and he swapped our general admission grass tickets for front row, ADA tickets to accommodate ties. Newly broken leg. It was out of this world. People were parking miles away from the venue and having to walk or take a shuttle bus for like an hour and because of the generosity of this kind person and in thanks to Ty's injury, we were able to park right outside the gate.

So we all piled out and it was amazing. Something I observed while we were, there was our four babes were the only children we saw at the concert. We didn't see any other children there. Of course it would've been easier to leave them at home, but camp is my favorite band. So of course it is theirs too.

And seeing their minds expand as we sat there and sang along to every single song. Melted my heart at one point, my three year old got tired and was sad for a song. He let out a few screams that he just wanted to go home. And in that moment, my brain got loud. What were you thinkings there? This was a bad idea.

Just wrap it up now. Take 'em all home, but because I've been working on my own expansion over the last few years, I was able to have a counter conversation with myself. No brain you'll be quiet. It is good to push our limits sometimes and see what we are capable of. Sarah, just be calm and he will feel your peace and he'll melt into a deep sleep.

So. Inside my brain. I'm having this conversation with myself. Not even five minutes later, he fell asleep in my arms. As the music filled the air around us, the stars came up and that night left me with so many takeaways, ones that had been sitting, ever so present in my mind. And I wanna share them with you.

So while we are on this topic, this is gonna be my first take. I'm gonna say it one more time. It is important to push yourself sometimes to go beyond your comfort zone, to realize what you are capable of. Resiliency is an acquired skill that humans learn when given the opportunity, resiliency is also a gift of a balanced body.

If the body is imbalanced, it is nearly impossible to surrender to the gift of resiliency. There is no freaking way my child could have slept like he did when his body was imbalanced. This is something I once deeply dreamed of, but that felt like it would never be. For me, my child would never sleep like this yet.

Here we were my little birdie with a balanced body and a mama who took control of my own doubtful thoughts. And he slept through the entire concert, us getting to the van afterwards, even though hundreds of people were bumping up against us and it was loud and there's flashing lights. I buckled him in his car seat.

We drove to the hotel. He didn't wake up until the next morning. If you are one of the many mamas who listens to this with a child who wakes up a dozen or more times a night, I know what a pipe dream. This sounds like I'm here to assure you that if my birdie can do it. It is 100% possible for your child too.

And it begins with a balanced gut. This is why I live and breathe gut health, because the more dedicated I am to my family's gut balance, the better everything in life is. Okay. So I'm gonna move on to the second takeaway. As mamas, it is important for us to have favorites, to love things with passion, and to share that love with our families.

I've been playing Caamp in my kitchen every morning and night for years. They have become a family favorite, but it started by me embracing something that I love dearly. Their music fills my soul. It is so natural for us as mama's to put our passions last, I could have easily turned on their. Their favorite musics, the nursery rhymes or something else.

And I occasionally do, but I prioritized camp because it lights me up. This is your reminder, an invitation to prioritize yourself. When you do you invite your children into your heart. And at the end of the day, that is their deepest desire. Okay. The third takeaway, the power of speaking your truth is remarkable.

I went to this concert with camp being my absolute favorite band, and I left loving them even more. And here are a couple of reasons why they completely over-served. They went above and beyond and kept going and going and making it better and better as I sat there with my feet. So happily tapping to their beautiful beats, my Birdy, babe asleep in my arms.

And my other loves surrounding me singing their hearts out. I never wanted it to end and camp lived up to this desire. I dream of providing that same experience for the mamas who come into my world. Of course, it's on a different scale. It's in a different way, but love is love and I hope you feel it in everything I share.

I want to forever and ever over serve you. With everything from the support and information I teach in my course and my product packaging to the quality of my products and the energy and knowledge I share with you on here. Camp was the most beautiful example. Of the good feelings you have when you are over-served.

I'm sharing this here both as a commitment to you, and also as an invitation to not hold yourself back under serving creates negative wavelengths in the universe. And what you give out will always come back to you.

Really quick mama, if you are wondering where your family's got health stands right now, if you or your child or your partner has an imbalance of any severity, I have created a really quick and simple quiz where you can find out in less than 60 seconds. If you have a minor imbalance, a significant imbalance, or if your gut is beautifully and perfectly balanced and no matter what your results show.

There is no shame. Gut imbalance is incredibly common, but when you know where your gut health is right now, you are empowered to create your best healing path forward to live your happiest and healthiest life. I have attached a link to this quiz in this show notes below. So you can scroll right down there.

Follow that to find out today where your family's gut health is and let's jump right back into today's episode.

All. Heck my littles are out splashing in our Creek with tie and I can hear them all chanting some kind of song. I really hope you can hear it in the background. Okay. Moving on to the second reason why I left the concert, loving them even. Toward the end, everyone cleared this stage, we thought it was over.

And then Taylor, the lead singer came back on all by himself and played solo before his beautiful voice filled the amphitheater though. He said, and I'm quoting exactly what he said. I just have a few words I need to share. I know you all love your freedom in this part of the country, but all in one day, people are eating hot dogs and shooting up schools.

No one needs to own an assault rifle. No one, and no woman should be told by any man what she can do with her body. He went on to say, I apologize if my words have offended, anyone. And if you need to leave, I understand, but I need to speak my truth and I appreciate you being here to hear it. This did something for me.

Like I said, I walked in there loving this band dearly and in this moment, my heart swelled and my love for them grew. 10 times how brave he was to speak his truth. He didn't hold back in fear of losing followers or fans. He showed up in alignment with himself and courageously put out there what he felt in his heart.

When we do this in our businesses and in our personal life. We invite in others who align with us. It is not our job as mamas and business owners to please everyone. It is our job to embrace our truth. So confidently. That we invite in others who build us up. All others are welcome to go. A personal example I have is last week I recorded an episode called vaccines and gut health.

And as with every episode, I sent out a newsletter with it in the newsletter. And in the episode, I'm very clear that I am not promoting or demoting vaccination.  but simply sharing information that I believe mamas deserve to have plain and simple vaccines are harmful to the good gut bacteria. This does not mean I'm saying you should not vaccinate your child because my opinion isn't what matters.

But if you do choose to vaccinate, It is good to focus on and nurture your child's gut bacteria before and after I know vaccines are a very controversial subject and I went into this kind of knowing I was going to get some kind of backlash, but I didn't care my truth. Doesn't have to be my opinion. My truth is I know.

How fragile our gut bacteria is science tells us this. My children's body tells me this. My body tells me this when my body is out of balance. When my gut bacteria is out of balance, my body is totally out of whack living and maintaining balance. Makes everything in our life so much better. And so I didn't care if I was going to have people unsubscribe to my newsletters or people unfollow me on Instagram because those aren't my people.

If they're not ready to hear it, that. Vaccines disrupt the good gut bacteria. They're so set in their way that they're not seeing my true message, that I'm just sharing information because I genuinely care for mamas and children.  then they're not really a good fit to be in my world anyway. And it's okay for them to go.

I did go into this very neutral with the intention of not being offensive to anyone, but I did get response to my newsletters. I got really unkind emails. I got really unkind comments on Instagram people don't just quietly go. I am sure of it. That camp received so much backlash. From their comment at this concert and they're okay with it because they are Taylor, the lead singer.

He is fully embracing his values. He is living in alignment with his values as mamas and women. This is the most powerful thing we can do is fully embrace our values. Share our values speak our truths invite in people who align with us and gracefully. Let everyone else go. People are welcome to come into our lives and they are equally welcome to leave.

I'm here to fully embrace myself and my truth of empowering mamas. With knowledge. If my words resonate with you, please stay. If. I fully support you in leaving my space, unsubscribed to my podcast, unfollow me on Instagram. This mama is a powerful mindset to live in. And one that many mamas struggle with I did for years naturally, we tend to give, give, give, and oftentimes we sacrifice speaking our truths in fear of offending others.

But that isn't your job. Your job as a mom is to take the lead of your children by being an example. And it is okay to live and speak in alignment with your values. Okay. The fourth takeaway I had from this concert life follows where your mama mind goes and not once leading up to the concert, did I consider how late it was or if we might need to leave early.

My babes are typically in bed at seven o'clock. Every single night, we had to drive four hours to get to this concert. And it didn't even start until 8:00 PM. There was that, that moment that I shared at the beginning of the episode, where doubt crap in during the concert, but leading up to it, if I had let fear and negative conversations flood my mind, there is no way we would have ever even tried going to this.

I share this one here, because I know many of you are at the beginning of your gut healing journey and you being able to fully surrender to your child's healing journey is important. If you are skeptical or doubtful, you won't be fully committed and this will greatly impact the success of your child's healing.

no matter if you are actively trying to heal your child's symptoms by rebalancing their gut or booking a ticket for a late night concert, tell yourself front that it is something you intuitively feel is going to work and don't let your mind get in the way of allowing it to actually work. Your intuition knows best and is important when trying to live your most intentional life to lead life with your I.

Not perceived fear when your gut is balanced, your intuition speaks to you louder and clearer. When the gut is imbalanced, it causes inflammation and incorrect signals are sent throughout your nervous system and to your brain balancing your gut allows the fog to clear and for you to show up with confidence and clarity.

So don't forget yourself, mama. This right here is just a little reminder. To prioritize your gut health too. It enhances your intuition significantly. Okay. We're getting to the end here. This is turning out to be a longer episode than normal. My fifth and last takeaway from the concert that I have to share with you is that we, as mamas can never underestimate our children.

They are capable of so much more. Then we could ever anticipate giving them the opportunity to heal and expand is a gift far beyond what we can grasp trust in yourself and surrender to the universe. This is a good life. Even if you are stuck in the muck with an unwell child, I see you. And I hope you see me as an example, that it is possible to heal and to make it to the other side, you have got this mama lean back trust in your intuition and don't ever betray.

Here is to occasionally pushing yourself to see how much you and your family are capable of to embracing your own passions and inviting your children into your heart, to over serving in your life and trusting that what you put out will always come back to you to having the courage. To speak your truth and inviting in others who align with your values and being okay, letting everyone else go here's to acknowledging the power of your mind and leading your family where you want to go by believing it is possible.

And lastly, the. To trusting in yourself and surrendering to the universe, what you desire, whether it be wellness or adventure, peace or prosperity, believe it with your whole mind and heart and you leave no other option than for it to become your reality. All right. Thank you for joining me today. I will see you next time.
