Go To Energy Balls

Go To Energy Balls

This is my go to energy ball recipe. I want to share this because it is so perfect for whipping up quick. We certainly appreciate a good bar but this recipe is zero waste. I can make these in 10 minutes, I always have the ingredients on hand and they pack great. Quick, simple ingredients, zero waste and good on the go. Win win win. Plus, these balls are super resilient so if you are out of peanut butter, use almond. Not a fan of cherries? Throw in toasted coconut instead. Prefer the taste of honey, swap it for the syrup. Don’t have any protein powder? Just skip it! So many possibilities. And all equally delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 c peanut butter
  • 1/4 c pure maple syrup
  • 3 TBS nut milk
  • 1 scoop plant based chocolate protein powder (optional)
  • 1 3/4 c rolled oats
  • 1/4 c hemp seeds
  • 1/2 dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c dried cherries

Method:
Mix the first four ingredients to make a thick dough, stir in everything else, roll, store in fridge. For an extra gooey and delicious treat let one sit in the sun for a few minutes before eating. ♡

While I am here I want to share with you my favorite peanut butter. It is organic, very affordable and most importantly it is made from VALENCIA peanuts. This is important because these kinds of peanuts are grown in dry environments so they do not grow mold like the more common Virginia peanuts that are grown in humid environments and grow toxic mold. For this peanut butter alone, my Costco membership is worth it.

And while I am sharing favorites... This is my favorite plant based protein powder. The ingredients are pure, fermented and organic, the flavor is delicious, it isn't chalky and it is full of amino acids.
