When several mamas ask me the same question in one day, it almost feels like a universal message. That it's a topic I need to address here. So thank you for sending me DMS and emails with your questions. I'm here to share my knowledge with you and to answer all of your questions. So please don't ever hesitate to reach out.

I had questions at the beginning of our gut health journey too, and it would've been so helpful if I had someone to reach out to, with all of my questions. Your questions mean a lot to me too, because they help guide my content. And just so you know, if I don't personally know the answer to your question, I have a long list of resources that I can reach out to.

My gut health journey has been really long and I've had time to make really amazing connections. if I don't know the answer to your question, I will reach out to naturopaths or manufacturers for supplements or whoever a midwife or whoever I need. And I will help get to the bottom of your question. Okay.

So thank you because many of you are to thank for today's short and sweet episode. We are going to talk about something called die off. When you begin your gut rebalance for either yourself or your child, you might find yourself asking, is it normal? That the symptoms are getting worse before they get better die off is exactly what the name says.

It's where the bad bacteria and yeast in your body begin to die while it is temporarily uncomfortable. It's actually a good sign that your rebalance is working. Now, please keep in mind that not everybody experiences die off and this isn't good. This isn't bad. It doesn't mean that your rebalance isn't working.

If you don't experience die off, but if you are seeing symptoms of die off, This is a good sign that your rebalance is working. So yes, it is normal for an eczema, rash or acne, a vaginal itch or sour poop to worsen. At first, I'm gonna share a short list of common die off symptoms with you. So you know what to look for just in case.

So you aren't caught off guard, headaches, fever, chills, muscle aches, exhaustion, diarrhea. Nausea and the worsening of whatever persistent symptoms you or your child is experiencing with an imbalance gut. So that might be your, a rash flaring up or acne surfacing, um, itchy in your vagina or in your armpits between your fingers or toes.

Um, maybe the poop gets really sour. These are all common symptoms of die. now something that's important for you to know is that it's really common to just go and look for maybe an over the counter medication to help. Ease these symptoms of die off. And I am not here to tell you whether you should or should not do that, but I'm gonna share with you a couple of alternative remedies because medications like ibuprofen or Tylenol are actually really hard on the gut bacteria and may prolong.

Your die off symptoms. So while it may bring temporary relief from your headache, it may prolong your die off phase. So it is important to drink a lot of water to help flush out the dying yeast in bacteria from the body. Baths, Epsom salt baths are really good for helping pull it all out of the body.

Highly, highly recommend those. If your child or yourself, if you're experiencing any itchy rashes, um, adding oatmeal to your bath, I, you can just like put it in a, some, uh, Rolled oats into a sock and tie the sock really tight, and then put that in your bath and just like squeeze the oat milk out. It's amazing.

And it really helps relieve the skin. Another one for topical. uncomfortable symptoms is my relieve gel that you can find in my shop. It is really good for any like eczema, rash, dip, chronic diaper rash, um, even like yeasty rashes. So in the armpits or vaginal yeast, yeast, anything like that, um, acne it's really good for that as well.

Um, and then internally, If you are experiencing headache or muscle aches or a pain, or you're, maybe you're really, really tired, but your sleep is restless. I'm sure there are some essential oil blends that could be really helpful and some teas.
